Work Attitude

Just a note about my last years of work:

I was not dumb.  I was not stupid.  I know I could have gotten by better by being more cooperative and more pliable.  But I would not have been me.  More importantly, I would not have been doing what they were really paying me for.  I was paid to analyze and develop systems to benefit the company.  I was not ever paid to do anything to benefit an individual.  Generally speaking, it was not the company’s benefit that was being asked for when I objected.  After all, as an analyst I seemed to have an uncanny ability to see the motive of the requestor.  Guess what; when the motive was not beneficial to the company, I fought it.  Hence my problems.

The bad news is that I did not achieve as much as I might have.  The good news is that I held my head up high on my last day and I earned my paycheck.

  • Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was super long)
so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly
enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m
still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for newbie blog writers?

    I’d genuinely appreciate it.
