Vegan Hypocrisy

Hey, we all know there are multiple justifications for being vegan. But the ones that I am referring to here are those that hold their veganism as a matter of morality. They not only eschew consuming animal products but also wearing things made from animals. In fact, they think that anything that uses animals is inherently wrong.

Today I am not going to address the real possibility that plants may have feelings as has been measured by various devices. For the sake of this posting, I will allow that plants are OK.

But the hypocrisy I speak of is the use of items using hydrocarbons. Some things I can think of that vegans everywhere probably use on an ongoing basis are gasoline, diesel, and plastics. Given the derivatives of crude oil I could list hundreds, if not thousands, of items that would qualify for this list as well, but you get the picture.

Now I know that vegans will come up with some exception or justification for using these poor squeezed dinosaurs for their personal use and edification, but the reality is that they are not animal-free in their life. Just because the animals have been dead a long time doesn’t change the fact that they were animals nor does it excuse the fact that vegans are using them.
