Now I am not defending any of them. In fact, those that kept their shows should have been history. Papa John seems to be a opportunistic POS who has all too often put his politics ahead of common sense – in short, a loud-mouthed bully. Paula Deen seems to be the only one who was not really a piece of work.
That is not the issue. The issue is that, if the ratings are good enough, the various networks will put up with damned near anything. The only exception seems to be the N-word. That apparently is unforgivable.
