As I write this on 11/12/2020, it is obvious to anyone except Donald Trump and his sycophants’ that he has lost his reelection bid. This despite the vote of 72.5 Million people in favor of his reelection.
I have made my opinions known for over five years about Trump and most recently my opinion regarding the possible election were expressed here dissillusion. Sadly, much of what I predicted came about.
The fact that 72.5 Million of you voted for someone who was and is decidedly mentally ill is problematic.
I know that many of you may support some of his ideas and ideals, even some of the ones I find most horrendous. While I have no truck with racism, misogynism, or xenophobia many of you obviously share with Trump, it sadly is a fact of life. You people exist and you are not going away. I have heard a phycologist state that your numbers are between 26-28% of the population. I do not know it they are accurate but I am willing to go with them. I am also willing to go with her assertion it is the majorities responsibility to keep such people in check.
Where the rest of you come becomes somewhat harder to discern because I know many of you. I know your values and your personalities. They just do not have anything in common with this person’s pronouncements, actions, or deeds. In fact, in any other circumstance you would be the first people to condemn this person. The only reason’s I get from you seem to be so esoteric as to beg credulity. Generally speaking, they center around two issues. First, that he is a Republican thus he is good. Second, you are a good Christian and your Church says he should be supported. On the second issue, I find it interesting in that when questioned you often cannot give a good answer as to who, what, when, or where you got this information; just that you know it to be true.
Except for the racists bunch above, this is the same justification that was used in reverse to oppose Barack Obama so heatedly for eight long years. This despite evidence to the contrary to every one of your claims on his person and actions.
Now to the reason for this note. Unlike the person you voted for, Joe Biden will NOT try to get even with those who did not vote for him and did not support him. He said he was President of All Americans. Believe him. He believes it to be true. Unlike the mentally ill person in the White House now, he will try to serve the country not rule it.
