I am going to give the Conservative reader the benefit of the doubt that I do not normally give them. I am going to ask them to put on their logic hat and ask them to think about what I am asking.
- Every news agency report the news one way, except FOX News. This is despite the fact that the owners of the news groups of demonstratively conservative. You believe all of the non-FOX news agencies are distributing fake news and are in collusion to hide the truth. Really. Think about it.
- You have been touting family values as part of your baseline platform but you have the only Presidents that have ever been divorced. Including the current one who was proven during divorce proceedings to have committed adultery. Think about it.
- You claim to be the faith-based political party. Yet you failed to support more than one honestly sincere religious Presidents (Carter and Obama to name two) while openly supporting someone who is remarkably non-Christian. I doubt if he has attended church once during his administration (Trump). Think about it.
These are a few things I ask you to think about. As you notice, I am not championing my own Liberal point of view. Nor am I trying to address those issues that we differ on. I am merely asking you to think about YOUR values.
We are all far from perfect. We all fail to live up to the expectations of others. If we are decent people, we should always fail to live up to the lofty expectations we have for ourselves. But, honestly, falling this far short of your core values that I have described above? Give me a break. Even a child should do better. Think about it.
