I have personally found it interesting the vast references to dragons throughout the world. In different societies that have no known interaction, they all reference dragons. The descriptions and depictions of these dragons are surprisingly similar regardless of where they come from.
And yet dragons are dismissed as mythical creatures simply because we do not have any evidence of their existence. Oh yes, except for the written and pictorial evidence. It does not help that references to dragons on the middle ages were never verified. I have heard the contention that dragon reports receded from London as transportation methods improved, thus allowing reporters to investigate.
But just because we do not have a living specimen or a skeleton, I think we should give some credence to these claims simply because of the fact that they are so similar and so wide-spread throughout the world. My thoughts are that they could easily be the last vestiges of dinosaurs that lasted far longer than we are led to believe. If we open our minds to that suggestion, all of a sudden the dragon stories all a sudden make sense.
Think about it.
I really like your writing style, wonderful info , thanks for posting : D.
