I wish I had the bully pulpit and the means to start this:
Why don’t ALL of the religious entities in America (Churches, Synagogues, Mosques, or whatever) pick a day and march.
March in favor of BLACK LIVES MATTER.
Not in favor of the associated rioting and looting that attaches itself to any protest. Not as a Liberal or Conservative statement. None of that.
Simply as a statement that you support God’s message that ALL people’s lives matter. Simply as a statement that you acknowledge that you recognize that society is not treating Black lives the same.
Simply saying as a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shinto, Buddhist, whatever you support the idea that everyone counts or no one counts.
That BLACK LIVES MATTER
