It seems that based upon some posts that I have seen it seems that some people are confused or purposely trying to obscure the issue.
Respect for the police and wanting them to obey the law and be held accountable are NOT mutually exclusive. Despite that, you will see Facebook posts that are pro-police and anti-black or pro-black and anti-police. This is B.S.
I respect and honor the police and what they have to do on a daily basis. I could not do it and I know it. I could not live with the pressure.
At the same time, they must be accountable to each and every law. It is a given. If that is a high standard, I guess it should be. Police should be expected to obey the law. That expectation is not anti-police. In fact, I think good police should agree with me. To do anything different is to ignore their duty to uphold the law.
