I know that I have posted on the organic issue. I know that I have harped on the same part of the issue. I have no objection to organic. In fact if I was growing some small amounts of product, I would probably grow organically simply because it would be simpler and easier. Maybe more labor intensive but less to learn about the right chemicals and such.
But like I have said before, if the whole world went organic, people will die. Not go hungry – DIE. Organic farming with non-modified crops will NOT feed the population of the world. And, if that is not enough, it is more susceptible to famine. So go organic and natural seeds. Then pick who dies. Just that simple.
That does not mean that I object to organic. Not in the least. Nor do I disagree with people who advocate organic. This is what I object to.
The assholes who advocate organic that misrepresent the so-called “danger” or “unhealthy” aspects on non-organic foods. It is bullshit. The food is safe, with rare exception and those exceptions are quickly dealt with. Now I know some of the idiots that state the dangers really believe what they say because they are true believers who are more interested in their beliefs than in checking the facts. That is a pity. What is more a pity is the ones who know the difference and fail to mention the caveats of what they espouse.
They end up scaring people unnecessarily and inadvertently causing problems that are far reaching. Here is an example. Can you imagine the problem caused by a person of really, really modest means sacrificing even more so that they buy organic (unnecessarily) and thus not provide for their family in necessary ways because of this false message these idiots are selling.
