On Bernie Today

I saw today that Bernie is the leader in the clubhouse. I also saw that there are a lot of anti-Bernie people in the Democratic Party that are concerned.

They have a right to be. They are concerned that, if he becomes a major player but does not have the nomination in the bag he will broker the convention for his own purposes and/or he will fail to actively and openly support the winning candidate when s/he does get nominated or wins via primary delegate count. They have a right to be concerned. He did that last time and there is no expectation that he will not do that again. To him and his followers it is not being part of the system. To everyone else it is more about a petulant kid taking his ball and going home. These leaders have a right to be concerned.

But most of all, let us look at the situation from the point of view whereby he would get the nomination and were to run against Trump.

First off: HE CANNOT WIN.

In the second case: HE CANNOT WIN.

Is that clear enough. And before you try to convince me otherwise, look the demographics of the voters and tell me how a self-avowed Social Democrat is going to get enough votes in the swing states to take Trump. The numbers are not there. Secondly, the need for minority turnout is really important this time. Guess where he sucks. The will stay home.

Like I said: HE CANNOT WIN. Even against Little Boots.

So suck it up buttercup and get rid of Trump even if you have to abandon your starry-eyed dreamer (Notice I did not even address his rather thin and facile platform, but that is for another day).
