Obama

I am not sure how history is going to really treat Barak Obama.  It is really too early to tell.  That is the case all too often in the short term with any Presidential administration.

The short term does look positive to me at least.  Looking at the economy when he took office; remember both he and his opponent had to suspend their campaigns to return to Washington to vote to keep businesses from going under.  The economy was in a lot better shape when he left office.  The international relationships were in much better shape that where they were when he took office.

His relationships with Congress were terrible, but that was a problem of Congress as much as him and the positioning of the Conservatives for the future.  However the lack of cooperation will have to be factored in the overall evaluation of his legacy.

Right now, I must say that his administration looks like a shining star, a phenomena without current precedent.  Why?  Simply by looking at the administrations that bookended his.  I mean really, anyone would look like a knight in shining armor in this situation.  On one side; bad and incompetent. On the other side; corrupt, rotten, filthy, and incompetent.  Under those circumstances, Obama shines.  And lest I am accused of ragging on Republicans; compare Obama to Clinton on a personal morality basis and he shines again.
