I do not have tattoos. I do not know why but I just never found a tattoo that I wanted on me. I do not object to them. I find many of them beautiful. In fact, my wife has a fantastic looking tattoo.
Now I know that a tattoo is like any form of art; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And there are differences between the quality of artists.
Given all of that, I still have to say that there are some seriously ugly tattoos out there. When they turn a person uglier that they already are, that is a negative.
I have some advice for people who are getting tattoos:
- In the overall scheme of things, tattoos are not so expensive that you cannot save up for a good tattoo instead of going cheap, Save up and go 1st class.
- Think about your career choices and how they will be affected if you have the inappropriate tattoo. For instance, a skull tattoo will not help you if you wish to become a minister. I think you get it.
- If you get a bad tattoo, do not live with it. Fix it. Laser it off or cover it up.
