Minimum Wage – Part II

Some time ago, I wrote a blog post regarding the minimum wage.  See Minimum Wage.

One of the things I hit upon was that the much touted $15/hour was more smoke and mirrors than anything else.  It was more a publicity seeker than a real number.  I also stated that even if it were a true number it did not come close to resolving the underlying problem of people not making a living wage for a full-time job.

Well, guess what?

The part about smoke and mirrors is more true than you want it to be.  The “revised” $15/hour federal minimum wage proposal came out a while back.  Keep in mind that it has a snowball’s chance in hell in passing Congress right now but it is being proposed.

The new proposal for $15/hour is really $9/hour growing to $15/hour in 7 years.  Isn’t that a pig in a poke?

Elect me: I will promise you $100/hour guaranteed (in 2099).
