Some time ago there was a report of a woman dying of Lung Cancer. During the reporting of the horrible event the reporter stated that the poor woman had never been a smoker.
This led to speculation by several people as to whether she had lived with a smoker, worked around smokers, or worked in an environment that exposed her to toxic fumes.
As I suspected, none of these speculations bore fruit. Why?
Because, believe it or not, Lung Cancer is not caused by smoking! Smoking can contribute to Lung Cancer. If you smoke you have a much higher chance of getting Lung Cancer. But Lung Cancer is not caused by smoking. There are a lot of causes, smoking being a significant, highly publicized, highly identified, contributor but is not the sole cause of smoking. There is plenty of evidence of people who have had Lung Cancer who have never been exposed to smoking. In fact there is evidence of people who have had Lung Cancer long before there was exposure to tobacco product at all.
Why is this important? Simple! You must continue to work for a solution to Lung Cancer, not just stop tobacco use.
Wow, this post is good, my sister is analyzing these things,
