I had a strange situation that lead to an interesting revelation recently. It started by with someone praising me for my lifetime ability to use my analytical nature to break down situations and issues and derive a logical evaluation and conclusion. I could not be more than a few minutes later, as the conversation went to other subjects, that I made a comment on the likelihood of people accepting someone who was championing a philosophy that was a social bane for generations.
I was immediately not so perceptive and not so analytical. I was out of touch.
My, how my abilities can change based upon someone else’s beliefs are involved.
No surprise and big deal but interesting none the less.
