Hypocrisy Revisited

I know that we see hypocrisy every day, but I was reminded of it again today.  Sandy was watch the revised Dugger show on TLC.  I was once again reminded of the dustup with the revelation of the oldest Dugger’s sexual misconduct that was covered up.

TLC did not cancel the show, per se, they just reworked it focusing on the kids so that they could continue on with the ratings success.

Just as there was no action of any nature to cancel Duck Dynasty when the patriarch expounded some of the most backward, narrow-minded, and filthiest garbage you could imagine.  Once again, ratings ruled.

A big difference from the Food Network and Paula Deen.  You cannot convince me that it was financially motivated.  If Paula’s ratings were good or if it wasn’t in the Food Network’s best interest to void any existing contracts, the Food Network would have not dropped the hammer.

I cannot think that the Food Network is above the Hypocrisy of the other cable channels.
