Just in case people do not think that I am totally blinded when it comes to Democratic crap, I am posting this.
I was watching a documentary the other day about our space program. And for some reason it occurred to me that I had always known that Houston Ground Control was a boondoggle of all boondoggles.
It is far from both major space areas (Kennedy Space Center and Edwards Air Force Base) and all of the minor space areas that the military overtly and covertly have, including the test centers. Why is it there, you ask?
Simple as hell. In three letters – L B J. The Houston Ground Control center was built solely as political largess because of Johnson’s position and power. It is poorly located, causes extensive costs in logistics, and is just plain foolish. That does not change a thing. It is there because of politics.
But fear not or fret not. That is the reason most government installations are where they are. Who is in power. Very few of our installations are placed for practical reason anymore. If they do not fix, they force it.
