You know, I keep thinking she will go away. This is not the case. Just a couple of days ago, I got a plea for funds with her name associated with it.
Let me state, once more, my opinion on her. Her heart may be in the right place and more power to her. Having said that, she is self-centered, uninformed, purposely ignorant about facts that differ from her agenda, and has the verve of all young people who want to right the wrongs no matter what the cost. She would, and should, be dismissed by any reasonable person with a quick examination of her ideas tempered by reality. The only reason she has and tractions is because she is cute and loud. That does not make her right.
Yes, much of what she says about what is wrong, I agree with. Her solutions are ridiculous and anyone with a brain knows it. The fact that they make her a poster child for the global warming cause detracts from a serious problem by allowing those people they need on their side to dismiss them because of her.
And before you excuse her bad manners due to Asperger’s, that does not fly. Bad manners are just that, bad manners. Shouting and screaming is bad manners. I know you have to be heard, but that is unacceptable. Making her the Person of the Year just shows you how pitiful things have become.
One final thought: let us follow her lead and enact her plans. Who is going to decide who amongst us is going to die without the benefits of the bad old modern technology which she eschews – that is when it suits her.
