Yes, I say this on a T-shirt. Can you believe it. On the one hand it is more than a little pathetic. This pro-Trump supporter had the gall to associate themselves with the plight of the movement of people who were actively protesting mistreatment by police in various confrontations.
It would be easy to laugh at this statement or dismiss the crassness, but I will not. I will answer it.
Yes, your life matter. Even if you have a narrow-minded, despicable outlook on life, your life matters. Even if you are as racist, misogynist, xenophobic, religiously intolerant individual your life matters. I will object to those attitudes but I will not restrict you from expressing them unless they actively lead to violence. I will support you right to express those attitudes as long as you do not act against anyone or cause some other like-minded deplorable to act upon them.
Here is the thing though. Just as your life matters, so does EVERYONE else’s. That is the part that you do not seem to get. In order for you to live happily in your pathetic little universe, it seems that other lives cannot matter.
That is intolerable. That is what is really wrong. Because All Lives Matter.
Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
