Waiting all day for a delivery person. Supposed to be here from between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. You would think 4 hour window would be sufficient for even the most delivery challenged organization, especially when the delivery was arranged for more than a week in advance.
Au contraire, mon frère. At 2:30 I called the company. After putting me on hold they let me know that they “were running a little late”. No crap – I kind of knew that myself – kind of why I was calling.
She said they were an hour and a half or two hours from delivery if it was OK with us (as if I am going to give them another day to screw up as well) – in other words two to two and half hours late – without calling. The person on the phone apologized and agreed that they should have called. I agreed with her but other than that the only solution was to await their convenience.
Finally came – almost exactly two hours late – by the time the delivery was complete (with my help) it was 4:15 PM. And you know the worse part about it? This is from a company that we have to work with and who delivers to us monthly. If it were not, I would have done what I have started doing – voting with my checkbook – going elsewhere.
I have recently started a site, the info you offer on this site has helped me tremendously. Thanks for all of your time & work.
My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress
on a number of websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform.
I have heard good things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
