i just received a comment to one of my posts regarding the validity of the 2020 election(Trump Won – BULLSHIT). This poster was really, really dedicated. The commenter listed web sites to articles proving that there was voter fraud in every state that was considered to be a battleground state.
The problem was that each and every one of those claims has been investigated, examined, and/or challenged in the courts. And they have been universally dismissed.
In fact, the 2020 election has been called one of the fairest elections in history.
As I told the commenter, I have noticed that there has never been any comparable claim of voter fraud from those Republicans lower on the ticket.
i was also interested that the commenter did not list any concerns of voter fraud except for those battleground states
But the real problem is Confirmation Bias. That is finding statements and claims that prove your preconceived perceptions.
This is such a case. Those websites exist. The challenge is not just to visit websites that confirm your conceptions, but also those that disagree.
I know personally that any damned fool can create a website.
Hell, I could post lies. I could post “proof” that Trump was really a Russian agent. But I would not because I will not post lies.
There are too many who do not have any such integrity. Hell, there was a poster who posted a birth certificate proving that Obama was not born in America. Even after it was proven to be photoshopped, the poster kept it online and you can still find naive people who will share it as truth.
Sadly, many people read their sites and believe them because they like what is being said. This, Confirmation Bias.
People, people, people. You cannot blame others for lying as an excuse for your lies and your false beliefs. You are responsible for your actions. Ignorance is not an excuse. Take responsibility and use that there browser to see the whole picture. Remember, if only one site is saying it – probably not true.
