Hey authors! I know that there are exceptions but we all know that the general rule of thumb when you only use your initials is that you are a woman writer. Like I said, there are some men who only use their initials but that is extremely rare. Invariably: INITIALS = WOMAN.
I know that you are trying to expand your audience by not advertising that you are a woman, but get real. You might as well slap a big ol’ neon sign on the front of the book saying “Written by Woman” when you use your initials.
The only reason I can think of a man would use his initials when writing is if he were writing romances.
