I do not generally write to the readers of this blog as I still try to treat it as my own personal playground. That way I can say what I want and not try to play to an audience; this is the surest way I can see to pre-edit my thoughts and that is not what this web site is about. This is by me and for me, with anyone and everyone welcome to come along for the ride.
I welcome comments, good and bad. In fact, the occasional critical comment helps me focus and I would not be adverse to a discussion between someone who disagrees with me as long as the person was willing to bring their A game and not make it a personal attack.
Having reiterated the above, I must mention some comments I have been receiving. And I am not talking about the occasional spam, which I report as such. Nor am I mentioning the comments that are mentioning their own website, which I generally delete as I am not in the business of advertising someone else’s site or endorsing their content without any input.
I am talking about people who post inane, innocuous, long posts on subjects not germane to blog being referred to. Generally there are several of them in the span of a single day or two from several different users. The most recent was regarding outdoor camping that was posted to the “Oliver North” blog page. They were long and somewhat interesting but totally off the subject and had no business being there. I deleted them.
Keep in mind, I personally review and approve every single comment before it appears on this site. I will not let these get in unless I make a mistake. And when I do, I remove it forthwith. Save your typing for some other site.
